In 1984, Jerry pursued his dream of racing U.D.R.A. Pro Stock with a Pontiac motor. He contacted Alston Race Cars to build a 1985 Grand Prix race car. Jerry was not competitive in Pro Steinbrick at Norwalk Stock with a Pontiac motor, but he refused to switch to the G.M. Corporate engine. However, he did manage a best run of 8.32 at 176 miles per hour in August of 1987, at the Norwalk Raceway Park in Ohio. This was, and still is, the fastest run ever made by a real Pontiac Powered, naturally aspired door car, on gas, without nitrous!

In addition to the drag cars, Jerry and his son Brian, have acquired 19 Pontiacs to date. Fourteen of these are GTO's. In 1990 Brian purchased his first 442, that started his love affair with Oldsmobile. Jerry formed Warpath Restoration Parts in 1988. Warpath makes and sells restoration parts for GTO, LEMANS, At, Firebird, Cutlass and 442 cars.
